Western allies must share intelligence on returning jihadists

EFD Programme Director Ahmad Mansour participates in the New York Times' "Room for Debate" series on the question of how Western governments should handle citizens who return to their countries having joined militant Islamist groups abroad. Ahmad states that these individuals should face trial and possible imprisonment, and calls for governments to invest in long-term prevention work, and in finding ways to counter the powerful ideology which draws youngsters to Islamist groups.
