We Muslims are not a protected animal species

EFD Programme Director Ahmad Mansour is quoted in Die Welt with regards to the refusal of a Swedish Green Party Politician to shake a female journalist’s hand. When a man refuses to shake a woman’s hand, it happens for certain religious reasons, Mansour explains. “He assumes that bodily contact between the sexes is forbidden. The woman is perceived as a sexual object, not as a person. We must not accept that.”
