Throughout the discussion, the panel discussed different opportunities and the challenges for civil society organizations (CSOs) that are working on these issues.
Effective counter-terrorism strategies require the participation of a broad range of actors, including civil society. At the core of such strategies is the notion that prevention of radicalisation is one of the key priorities and that effective groups and individuals need to be supported and empowered with a view to building resilience within relevant communities.
